A must visit for wildlife enthusiasts, bird watchers and bird photographers Muthodi Wildlife sanctuary is about 80 Kms from Kemmanagundi. Adventurers can stay at the River Tern Lodge which arranges safaris inside the forest for a fee.
Amriteshwara temple about 60 kms from Kemmanagundi is a 900 years old temple built by Amriteshwara Dandanayaka, a general of the Hoysala ruler Ballal II. Noted as one of the masterpieces of Hoysala architecture, Amriteshwara Temple replete with splendid sculptures also has a wonderful image of Goddess Saraswati in a sitting posture.
