There is no dearth of adventure enthusiasts in Bangalore and there are many motorbiking groups and off road mountain biking groups. Karnatakatraveller.com 'biking' page is envisaged as a place to meet fellow bikers and join in the biking trips organized. Though most of the biking trips organized by karnatakatraveller.com is a two day program within Karnataka we also organize annual rides to Ladakh and Bhutan which typically is a 14 day trip. We also organize trips to Kerala and Pondicherry.
ICycle, an NGO promoting cycling in Bangalore, conducts regular cycling events to Nandihills. The cycling starts from �Rani circle� to the summit and back, thus avoiding the city traffic.
Other weekend Bangalore rides conducted by ICycle include Bidadi-Magadi and Devarayanadurga trek. Each level is designed, keeping in mind the capabilities of the participating cyclists to experience the best of cycling in and around Bangalore.
Bhutan Ride (9 Days)..
The Bhutan ride is organized in the month of March. Bikes are transported to New Jalpaiguri. Couples are encouraged to join this ride as this ride is comparetively an easy ride with short rides less than 100 Kms in a day. This ride is a good option to introduce yourselves to biking trips. Bhutan package includes all transport, permits accommodation and food.
Leh Annual ride.. (14 Days)
We organize annual rides to Leh typically in the month of August. The registrations for the Leh annual ride open as early as January every year. Either Manali - Leh - Jammu or Jammu - Leh - Jammu route is taken. Package includes all transport, permits accommodation and food.
One of the most popular rides from Bangalore is the coastline ride from Bangalore - Udupi - Maravanthe - Gokarna and back to Bangalore. Goa is also at times added to this circuit dependeing on availability of time and inclination of the group.
Another popular riding route near Bangalore is the Bangalore - Coorg - Nagarhole - Bangalore circuit.
Bangalore to Ooty is however the most frequented interstate route from Bangalore.
